Appointments are always available at short notice if you are prepared to see a doctor you may not have seen before as I did, the two doctors I saw, whom I have never seen before were very helpful and caring.

I feel that if a GP has asked to see you again in a number of weeks to review an ongoing illness, you should be able to make the appointment, rather than having to get to the surgery at 8am & queue to guarantee an appointment on the date required. It is useless trying to telephone as all appointments are gone by the time you get through at
If you have queued, got an appointment for that morning, and the doctor does not turn up patients should be advised rather than them waiting for 30 minutes and only being told the GP did not turn up when they ask for an update.

It would be helpful if we could make non urgent appointments ie annual reviews, without all the problems of phoning continually, only to be told "try again in 2 days."
